I said last month : - we have lost some good venues:
Beer Cart Arms has stopped hosting the Sunday open stage, I hear ...

But there is a plus, the King William IV in Littlebourne has started doing music on a Thursday - tonight was a friend, CJ, on guitar, electric piano and vocals with Simon (mainly on drum, but also guitar and vocals), and with Vicki guesting in the interval. CJ has a sampler CD : P.O. Box 809, Canterbury.
Do support the King William - we need all the venues we can get these days.

This is the time for Rochester Sweeps - I have not been able to track down a web page, but the music is now up on the Kent Folk calendar.
Don't miss Tim Edey, Cajunologie, Bill Jones, Hot Rats, but there is much more - Slattery and Wild Turkey are there, as are Tan Tethera.

Wednesday Celtic Session
If you have been looking for the Wednesday Celtic session at the George Inn, Stone St. it is now in residence at the Anchor in Wingham, where they have had a very warm welcome - please do support them and the pub.

Cajun
The next Cajun event is a Cajun dance workshop with Wild Turkey (Yves and Chris from Cajunologie). The workshop is led by Kay Anderson, 2:30pm on 18th May at St. Peters Church House, Cromwell Road, Whitstable; £3.50, ring 01227 779 178.

then :
Cajun Dance Night with Cajunologie June 7th, St. Peters Church House, Cromwell Road, Whitstable. £6.50 : Gatefield Sound Whitstable, or ring 01227 779 178.

Friday 25th April, Gulbenkian Theatre: Katie, Jo, Jim, Ramona, Zinta played as part of 'Trilogy Unplugged' - I was not able to be there, but have heard good things about it, more to come ... Poster
