FORTHCOMING GUESTS:

JUNE 5TH - FLOSSIE MALAVIALLE
(http://www.flossiemalavialle.co.uk/welcome.aspx)

Flossie Malavialle is a French singer who, while on a teacher exchange in Darlington, turned up at the local folk club one night and joined in.  After a year back in France she was missing her lifestyle in England and decided to return.  Flossie now mainly focuses on her singing - she has a wide repertoire, ranging from Edith Piaf numbers to very English standards in an excellent Darlington dialect!

JUNE 12TH - THE TEACUPS
(http://www.theteacups.co.uk/)

The Teacups are an acapella quartet who have been making a big name for themselves over the past few years on the UK festival circuit.  Alex Cumming will be familiar to regulars at Broadstairs Folk Week and he is joined in Teacups by Kate Locksley, Rosie Calvert and Will Finn.  All four studied for folk & traditional music degrees at Newcastle University, first coming together in 2010.  Since then they have gone on to perform in clubs and festivals around the UK and Europe.

JUNE 19TH - STEVE ASHLEY
(http://www.steveashley.co.uk/)

Steve Ashley began singing folk songs in 1961 and was a founder of Maidstone Folk Club in 1964.  He then came to wider attention with his award-winning album ?Stroll On' and was lead singer in the original Albion Country Band.  He has since worked in various line-ups, as well as solo, and is renowned for his songs, which have been recorded by many leading artistes, including Fairport, Phil Beer and Martin Simpson.

JUNE 26TH - DAVE ELLIS & BOO HOWARD
(http://www.daveandboo.com/)

Dave Ellis & Boo Howard have become firm favourites at Dartford Folk Club over the years, with Dave's intricate guitar work and Boo's mellow vocals combining in a song-writing style all their own.  Dave first made a name for himself as a leading folk guitarist in the early 1970's.  He plays 6-string and 12-string guitars and a 5-string banjo to a standard that few can match.  Boo plays guitar and bass guitar.
