That
was the summer? it happened on August 28th this year in Britain, between
about 2 and 4 in the afternoon. We hope you were luckier elsewhere in the
northern hemisphere. We did have the Olympics and Paralympics as
compensation, though, and very wonderful they were too. Sales of burgers,
beer and bicycles have all rocketed. We
just added up and found we'd played 20 festivals this year (including our own
Big Session), and we were quite impressed. No wonder our feet are sore.
Thanks for some great gigs, especially T?nder Festival in Denmark at the end
of August, where we had the rare chance to play both with June Tabor on the
Friday and "as ourselves" on the big new open-air stage on the Saturday, with
The Low Anthem in support. Cracking stuff all round. But
after a brief rest in September we'll be on the road again, as follows: |
