It's been a while since we last sent out a message so if you haven't been along to the club recently you've missed some great nights.
You will still be in time however for a very special night this Sunday 20th May.
Instead of one guest the evening will be shard by two excellent Irish performers.
The mighty voice of Thomas McCarthy a singer from an Irish Traveller family in Birr, County Offaly. From a considerable dynasty of traditional singers, song-makers and musicians, Thomas grew up surrounded by the singing of his late mother, her father and aunts and uncles and now lives in London.
Plus the humour of Racker Donnelly the Irish Folk Poet who writes verse and song that's as funny and charming as it is literate.
Not to be missed.
Just an early warning that our final "Futureproof" show at the end of June will again this year be an open air afternoon event at Stoneydown Park, more details to follow.
Some news about 2 gigs by our very own Russ Chandler, whose recent CD is getting fine reviews. This Friday 18th he is at the Birkbeck Tavern Leyton and on Monday 21st at The Green Note Cafe, Parkway Camden.
See you all soon
