Dave Burland first worked as a professional folk musician in 1968. Over the years he has travelled widely and worked with the likes of Kate Rusby, Nic Jones and Richard Thompson. The Toy Hearts are the
Birmingham-based Johnson family band comprising sisters Hannah (lead vocal/mandolin)
and Sophia (guitar/harmony vocals) backed by their father Stewart
(banjo/dobro/steel guitar). In just a
short time they have gained a reputation as one of the UK's hottest acoustic
acts for their dynamic and innovative performance of modern bluegrass
music. This now extends well beyond the
UK ? since 2007 they have regularly toured on the Continent and in the USA.
