Hello and thank you for filling all the seats for the Martin Simpson
show last night - and what a show!
Next up at the Hailsham Pavilion (Saturday 4th February) is Show of Hands frontman Steve Knightley
who stops off en-route for the Easter Saturday concert at the Royal Albert Hall
.....and he brings along with him Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin who appeared with Show of Hands
at the church concert in Eastbourne and at "Picnic by the Moat" at Herstmonceux Castle last August....
Pics attached......
Seats (£19.50) (now less than 30 available) can be booked at the Hailsham Pavilion
on 01323 841414 or on-line at www.pavilionhailsham.co.uk
Details of this and other shows can be seen at www.spyboy.co.uk
Now you remember I said last week that I had some exciting news....
Well it is all sorted and on Friday 25th May - Home Service will play a rare
and what will be a one-off show at the Hailsham Pavilion....
Led by John Tams (he (of amongst many things) of War Horse fame) this is a reunion of the classic band
of the mid-1980's that has come about after the recent discovery of some previously unheard live recordings
mainly observing the unfairness of Thatcherite Britain and its social inequalities.
The crushing irony is that they sound as potent now as they did then.......
There was just a handful of festival performances last year but the band made such an impact that they have been
Nominated for Best Group and Best Live Act.... at the 2012 BBC Folk Awards (Wednesday 8th February)
It is an eight piece band so sorry seats are £22.50 - Booking opens next Tuesday 31st January
01323 841414 or on-line at www.pavilionhailsham.co.uk
