WESSEX ACOUSTIC FOLK CLUB

Our next concert night is Friday 18th November with Jez Lowe and the Bad Pennies. Jez is a regular visitor to the club, either solo or with the Pennies. They always give us a delightful evening and this will be no exception, guaranteed to put a spring in your step and a smile on your face. Our very own Andy Stone, sound engineer supreme, and highly talented singer/songwriter/guitarist, will be opening the evening with a set of his own outstanding songs.

Hopefully John Butcher will have had his replacement knee operation by this evening and be mobile enough to attend. Kathy will be in charge for the night! Sorry!

Don't forget we have the amazing Maart Allcock with the newly un-retired Huw Williams on December 9th. This is the very first gig together for these two superb musicians, so we have no recordings of them together to give you a preview. Having seen Huw in action with his daughter's band, Calan, at Shrewsbury Folk Festival, we know he is fit, well, and sounding great. He is still light on his feet too!

We are recording the concert for them for a ?Maart & Huw Live' type of CD to be released in the Spring. Tickets £10 pre-booked, £12 if not.
