Folk at The Brook presents
Hobo Jones & The Junkyard Dogs
The Brook Theatre, Chatham
Thursday, 16 June - 8pm
Hobo Jones & The Junkyard Dogs are local favourites.
Blending original songs with reworked covers, the trio have become regulars
on the UK festival scene and have supported The Levellers, Chas and Dave and
Bad Manners.
The band formed in 2003, fed up with the same old covers groups
playing the same old songs. Dressing as 1940s hobos and adopting a skiffle
stance, Hobo Jones & The Junkyard Dogs unleash a rip-roaring,
tongue-in-cheek journey through rock 'n' roll, from original skiffle legends,
such as Lonnie Donegan, to Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Motorhead and many more.
Armed with a whirlwind energy and rapier wit, the band are
renowned for pulsating sets that get the feet moving and the belly laughs
rolling.
Tickets are £10, folk mailing list members £9. Book online or
phone 01634 338338.
