Justin Townes Earle

Justin Townes Earle is an anomaly. He’s all angles and elbows and a hard stare, both welcoming and serious. His record Midnight At The Movies was named one of the best records of last year by Amazon and found a sweet spot in the hearts of fans and critics alike. He also guested on dad Steve Earle’s Grammy Award-winning Townes record.

The Spooky Men’s Chorale
Thursday 21 July, 8pm
Tickets £17
Wave goodbye to choirs as you know them. This one is a macho juggernaut - zany, black-clad and show-stoppingly good - sounding as sacred as a high church choir one minute and wickedly off the wall the next.  Compellingly comic they may be, but they’re also a class act with pitch-perfect harmonies, savvy lyrics and imaginations that run riot across repertoire ranging from Georgian-style chants to a capella ballads, spiky political jabs, Cole Porter’s Every Time We say Goodbye, a hilarious spoof of Queen’s Flash and the funniest version of Abba’s Dancing Queen you’ll ever hear.
For an extra £12 per person you can sample some non-scary bush tucker (vegetarian options available) served in Café in2. Go to www.stables.org for menu details. Book in advance through the Box Office to reserve your table.
