Music News
Nashville Daily Mailer for December 27, 2010
Good morning...
Dan's thought for the day: Middle
age is when you choose your cereal for the fiber and not the toy inside the
box.
Welcome back. We hope
you had a very Merry Christmas with family and friends. Today, we're doing
something a little different. Instead of sending you the latest news
(it IS up on the magazine site, by the way), we're going to tell you about
a new book from a friend of ours, Ralph Murphy.
For those of you who don't
know Ralph, it's easiest to say it this way: There are very few people in
the music industry today (if any!!!) who have greater credentials when it
comes to knowing what makes a hit song work. Songwriter, publisher,
producer, song plugger, A&R rep, and more, Murphy's worn many hats
throughout his career and mastered them all.
Ralph's written a book called
"Murphy's Laws of Songwriting". We're calling it THE
DEFINITIVE BOOK on songwriting. Whether you are a hit maker with
number ones under your belt or just stepping off the plane at the Nashville
airport for the first time, THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU!!!
We've reviewed Ralph's book
in this week's Music News Nashville and we recommend you check it out...
the review AND the book. Links to where you can find more information
and purchase the book are on the review page. Just go to http://www.musicnewsnashville.com and
click on LATEST, and ARTICLES to find the review.
