A quick reminder of these two storytelling workshops. We have had several people sign up for them- but  not enough to make them financially viable and a decision will have to be made in the next day or so whether or not to cancel.

Once Upon A Time – Beginners Storytelling Skills for Adults with Janet Dowling in association with WEA

Discover the ancient art of oral storytelling and learn how to apply storytelling skills to different parts of your life such as telling to children or adults, making presentations and being more confident in job interviews.

This will complement the Waxing Lyrical practice and coaching group. It will cover basic theory and skills for storytelling, with an opportunity for weekly practice and feedback to really develop your telling. At Waxing Lyrical on the night you attend you practice one piece of the jigsaw - this course give an overview of the whole jigsaw which will benefit your attendance at Waxing Lyrical.


There is a minimum of 8 for this course to run - so please sign up or it won’t run!!

Spare Parts Concertina Band are doing a part-playing session for concertinas at the Tenterden Folk Festival, UK, on Sunday 3rd. October in the White Lion Saddlery from 3.00 - 4.30 p.m. Bryan Creer has put the tunes on the band website in pdf and midi (two speeds) form: The tunes are
