Musical Traditions Club AUTUMN 2010

Dear Member,

Here's our Autumn programme. We are surprised and pleased to find ourselves celebrating our 20th Birthday in October!

For a profile of the club, see upcoming Folk London (printed edition) for October/ November.

We are working on a longer club history. If anyone has good clear photos, particularly of the earlier years from 1990, please send them, either by email or to Peta Webb, 52 Cecile Park, London N8 9AS

All the best,

Peta & Ken

Musical Traditions Club AUTUMN 2010

Friday September 17th  MOOR MUSIC

Mark Bazeley, Jason Rice & Rob Murch

Mark (melodeon and concertina) and Jason (accordion) have been playing since childhood, absorbing the unique Dartmoor style from their respective grandfathers Bob Cann and Jack Rice.  Rob (5-String banjo) also learnt from a young age and has become one of the finest exponents of this once popular but now rarely heard style.  One of the best truly traditional acts, doing what they do, simply because they enjoy it.

With English songs from Andrew King
