OCTOBER Seventies band The Rubettes featuring Alan Williams will be
taking to the stage at Chatham Central Theatre this October to raise vital
funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. White Caps, Tiger Crepes and Feather Boas is a one-off
spectacular, of 70s nostalgia arranged by the Mid Kent Breakthrough
fundraising group and will also star Mud II featuring members of Les' Gray's
Mud and Too Rex, a tribute to Marc Bolan and T Rex The concert, was the brainchild of Chairman of Breakthough Mid
Kent and drummer with Mud II, Phil Wilson. Phil says, "We want everyone to Go
Pink this October which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and hope to turn the
Central Theatre totally pink for the evening" " Breakthrough Mid Kent is a
newly formed fundraising group run by volunteers. This is our first big music
event so we are hoping that lots of people will support us" The Rubettes will be playing their classic hits including Sugar
Baby Love and Juke Box Jive, while the fantastic Mud II will be donning their
Tiger Feet and drape jackets. The evening kicks off with the flamboyant Too
Rex, one of the country's finest tributes to the legendary Marc Bolan White Caps, Tiger Crepes and Feather Boas takes place at The
Chatham Central Theatre on Monday 4th October at 7.30pm. Tickets are £18.50
