Subject: Bottleneck Blues Club
Another amazing set by
the Spikedrivers last week. They just
get better and better!
Here's what MC John Cordingley
had to say about the evening:
"A well supported
evening again as expected, to see the brilliant Spikedrivers, we all could have
listened to them for another hour if time had permitted, they had us singing and
clapping along with them to their tasty brand of blues. Ben Tyzack on lead and
vocals played some great delta slide and with his soulful voice and stage
presence did a superb performance. Not taking anything from Constance Redgrave
on bass, washboard and many other instruments and Maurice McElroy on drums and
percussion, they were both excellent as well, and they complemented the trio
which made a very tight and visual band. They could not work out how many times
that they had visited the Bottleneck over the last ten years but one thing for
sure it will not be their last. John"
Thank you John and also to Terry
and Sandra for their continued great work.
This month, on Tuesday 25th, sees
the return of the Cadillac
Kings after a few years absence. They are one of
the bands I've had many return requests for and are indeed a great swingin'
blues band. If you haven't seen them, do check them out
Bookings to me at the return
All the best and look forward to
seeing you on the 25th!
