Hello Everyone,
Many thanks for coming to see the wonderful Guy Tortora
and Band last week.
Here is MC John Cordingley's report:
"Another great evening with Guy Tortora and his backing band,
their third visit to the club, they had trouble arriving on time for their sound
check due to motorway traffic but it did not spoil the quality of the
performance, true professional sound. Guy opened with a solo spot and then
was joined by his band consisting of drums bass and keyboard which produced a
nice tight sound, with many slide numbers on his National and Strat guitars.
He had us singing along with him during the evening and at one point I
thought Alan was going to get up and dance for us, and finally the last song of
a two number encore we all sang Honky Tonk woman just like the Stones, what a
great evening, must have them back. John"
Thanks John!
This month, on the 27th, we have the very
popular Spikedrivers, a real club favourite, so I recommend booking
early to avoid disappointment. Check them out at www.spikedrivers.co.uk
You will be pleased to hear that, thanks to club regular
Gillian, we are also gradually sorting out the website and an up-to-date gig
list can be viewed thereon. Please go to www.bottleneckblues.com
So, thats Tuesday April 27th at the Roffen
Suite for the amazing Spikedrivers. Advance bookings to me at
the return email address. Same great value price of £10, please pay on the
door. Doors open 7.30pm, band on stage 8.45pm.
See you there!
