Full programme will be forthcoming shortly please visit our website . ... http://www.themickjaggercentre.com History In 1994 the Governors of Dartford Grammar School were advised by Dartford Borough Council that they would be willing to contribute to the funding and community use of a new sports centre being built at the school. The contribution initially agreed was increased on the condition that the Governors provided the school?s existing gymnasium as an arts centre, also to be shared with the community in order to reduce the deficiencies in leisure facilities identified in a report produced for the council by external consultants. At the time there were few or no facilities in the region that were available or suitable for use by local community arts groups, no dedicated live music venue, and no opportunities for local groups and organisations and individuals to develop and showcase their talents. Following lengthy negotiations with architects, planners, the Arts Council, etc., a more ambitious scheme than originally envisaged was conceived to meet the shortfall in community arts facilities. With the assistance of Arts Council funding of ?1.6m, the then largest lottery award to any school-based project , the ambitious and innovative scheme was started in 1998 and completed in March 2000. It was opened, with national and international publicity, by HRH the Duke of Kent with Mick Jagger and his family in attendance. At that time the centre comprised a large hall capable of seating 350, a small hall capable of seating 150, both fully equipped with the latest sound and lighting facilities, a professional recording studio and rehearsal rooms, with a large foyer and bar/kitchen as well as a separate box office. In 2004 the centre was further extended by the addition of a Music Technology suite and store room, a visual arts suite, a dance/drama room and two further teaching and rehearsal areas. The re-siting of the school?s dining hall and kitchen to the centre further added to the range of activities the cen tre can manage. Crispian St. Peters Born in Swanley Kent, began his career in 1957 and has spent his whole life dedicated to his love of music. He has travelled the world performing and entertaining and appeared on many television shows. He first was signed by Decca in 1965 who released his single 'At This Moment' bringing TV appearances that lead eventually and inevitably his rising to fame with Top Ten hits ‘You Were On My Mind' in 1965, 'Pied Piper' in 1966 and his first album, 'Follow Me' in 1967. Celebrating over 50 years in the music business.

Night Sessions Vol.1 - 19 tracks of Country, Pop and Gospel was made over a period of 3 months in 1993.with his lifetime friends and band Old Crow. It is a compilation of a few of the 200+ songs written by Crispian St. Peters, some not released before. Plus some classic covers that are great favourites of the band.
Featured vocalists are Crispian St Peters, Margaret Rose, Gary Silver and Brian Star with Mainstays Mike Ford on Bass and Peter Salisbury on Drums. Valuable contributions to the album were made by Kevin Pyne, Roger Cotton, Toby Chapman, Anthony Wimshurst, Jeff Martin, Peter Sure, Barry Sibbett, Lorez, Ted Taylor and the band Gambler.

As an accompanist or band member, Mick has worked with artists as diverse as Roy Castle and Eric Clapton and as a sideman with luminaries from the jazz world including Tony Coe, Pat Halcox and Joe Harriot. In the early 60's he was lead guitarist with the or iginal Dover-based Rolling Stones and was later a founder member of cult progressive rock outfit Mirkwood. Somewhat surprisingly then, Reflections is Mick's first solo album.
