Hello Everyone,

Well, we near Christmas, the New Year and a new season of great live music to come from the Bottleneck.

Firstly, may I thank Jonathan Kalb and Co. for what was a very good performance at the last event, judging from the feedback I have received, plus MC John Cordingley's report as follows:

"A great evening with Jonathan Kalb he started by  playing a couple of acoustic numbers with some nice slide, he was then joined by Sam Kelly on drums and once again Spy on bass, these two bluesmen certainly know their business. Jonathan played some nice guitar and although he had a cold and his voice was a tone below his norm it did not spoil the evening’s performance. Sam and Spy were allowed a couple of solos each which was well appreciated by the audience. All in all a brilliant night and well worth seeing again in the future."

Tuesday, January 26, 2010 sees the debut of exciting band Big Mammas Door at the club.  This band have been receiving rave reviews wherever they play - "This is an engaging and highly energetic band.....the audience was wowed by the sheer personality of Fiona as a performer, the artistry of Mal on guitar and the musical excellence of the rest of the band" (Blues in Britain).

So, for those of you that wear pacemakers, make sure they're properly adjusted on the night and do check this band out on www.bigmammasdoor.com and at their myspace page www.myspace.com/bigmammasdoor in advance.

In the meantime, bookings to me at the return email address and please bear in mind that live music in general has been very badly hit by this recession.  We need to survive so do bring a friend as well!

That's Tuesday 26th January at the Roffen Club, Rochester, for Big Mammas Door and a very Merry Christmas to you all!
