This meeting will be followed by our usual club night

23rd October - Three Heads in A Well   Adult Storytelling Club in Ewell Surrey

The nights are closing in. The shadows are darker and longer. Do you watch for the moonlight when you go out of the door? Do you know what might be padding behind as you gaze up at the stars? Do you wish you could tell someone about the stories of the ghost and ghoulies that play the tricks in your mind?
Well here is your chance!
On 23rd October the Three Heads In a Well storytelling club for adults , opens its doors to any adult ( age 14 + ) who wants to come along and tell a story for the season! It can be a traditional tale or one that you have made up. There are  only  two requirements. One is that you tell the story, not read it aloud. And the other is that its a maximum of 10 minutes a person.  And you don't have to tell a story- you can just come and listen!
Janet Dowling, one of the organisers , says-" Last year we had so many people who wanted to tell stories for Halloween,  that I didn't get my turn. Instead I enjoyed listening to the range and variety of tales people had to tell! We hope to see just as many people this year!"
The club meets every month at  The Sanctuary.St. Michael's Church, Church Street, Ewell, Surrey. KT17 2AS.Click here for map. From   7.30- 10pm. It costs just  £6/ £4 concessions
No Booking required: Just turn up, and sign up to tell on the door

Saturday 28th November 2009 - Shonaleigh Cumbers - Voice Workshop for Storytellers.

Shonaleigh says that:
“We will be covering basic vocal technique because "the worst story to be told is the one you can't hear". We use narrative to make sense of the world, we use story to navigate our way through. The person, child or adult who can tell a story has also developed the confidence to communicate in a job interview, to mediate in an argument and the confidence to know who they are. We live in a world of Bebo, Facebook, text and email; many young adults find it easier to communicate electronically than enter into a dialogue face to face.”

Suitable for beginners and people who have some experience of telling stories.
