I know that I have already managed to contact some of you by other means about the workshop this Saturday, but for those who I haven’t yet reached – great news:

John Carty has agreed to give a fiddle workshop (aimed at Intermediate to Advanced level players) at the London Irish Centre this Saturday 30^th January, 1-3pm.  Cost is £10 (no concessionary/ children’s rates available, sorry) and tickets can only be purchased on the door.

Fine traditional singer from Co. Sligo performs in East London

Mai Hernon was born in the heart of Coleman County in County Sligo, Ireland to a musical family.

She is developing a fine reputation as a superb singer of traditional songs in the Irish Tradition and this evening is a rare chance to hear her in action.
