Chris While and Julie Matthews
with Bella Hardy and Chris Sherburn
Singer songwriters, Chris While & Julie Matthews, who are world renowned for their affinity
on stage and for the energy and enthusiasm of their live performances, were recently voted
Winners in the Best Duo Category at the 2009 BBC Folk Awards.
Besides their sixteen solo and duo albums these ex-members of the Albion Band
have regularly filled concert halls and headlined festivals in the UK, Europe, Africa, the USA and Australia.
Sharing the evening with Chris and Julie is Bella Hardy a devilishly talented fiddle-singer,
and the extraordinary concertina player, Chris Sherburn (picture attached)
They ended last year by performing at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.
Chris Sherburn has previously played at the Pavilion with the now defunct Anglo-Irish band,
Last Night’s Fun, and those who have seen him will know to expect a good deal of relaxed
banter between Bella’s self-penned compositions and traditional songs and tunes.Full details of the Autumn schedule that INCLUDES A NEWLY ADDED SHOWon Saturday 14th November can be seen at www.spyboy.co.uk
