Utne Reader
The Journal of Music was
recently spotted by the Utne blog, the online wing of the American magazine that
digests the best of international magazine publishing. Of Toner Quinn's article

International Rostrum of
Composers
Irish composer Jonathan Nangle's
work for solo clarinet,
our headlights blew softly into the black,
illuminating very little, was selected as one of two recommended works in
the under-thirty category at the International Rostrum of Composers in Paris.
The work was performed by Irish clarinettist Deirdre O'Leary at Crash Ensemble's
'Free State' concert last year and recorded by RTÉ lyric fm. The International
Rostrum of Composers is an annual gathering of radio networks from four
continents.
