See full size imageMyrddin is the youngest son of famous multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Koen De Cauter. As a youth he learned clarinet from his talented father (mainly jazz and Gysy style). Then at fourteen he discovered flamenco guitar and was hooked by the richness and originality of this musical culture. Whilst staying in Spain he studied with some of the greatest names of flamenco: Manolo Sanlucar, Gerardo Nuñez and others mastering a phenomenal technical virtuosity. Captured by the depth, variety and influences of this music he created his original and unique style of contemporary flamenco. As a solo artist he released his first Cd Imre in 2001 (Culture Records) and became a household name in the world of flamenco in Belgium and Holland. In 2005 he released his second album Novar (Munich Records) and he is currently working on a third album. This will be a refreshing and inspirational performance of intimate and passionate music from a young and talented trio.
