Sharp's Folk Club welcomes folk legend Swarbrick

Dave Swarbrick
Tuesday 17 March 2009, 8pm

Tuesday 17 March 2009 promises to be a very special evening at Cecil Sharp House as Sharp's Folk Club welcomes the renowned folk musician and vocalist Dave Swarbrick.

Touring and recording extensively over his career, Swarbrick's huge back catalogue has included Radio Ballads with Ewan MacColl, Peggy Seeger and Charles Parker during his indentured years, where his lifelong passion for folk music was born.
He is undoubtedly known as a once member of Fairport Convention and his contribution to folk and folk/rock music is legendary and well documented.

In recent years Swarbrick has continued his remarkable pairing with Martin Carthy that played an important part in the tremendous shake up given to British folk music in the middle to late 60's.

A must-see event.

Tickets available on the door only, £10.
