“The Mighty Northern style of Irish Traditional Music cruises through their veins”

- FRoots

Craobh Rua (pronounced Crave Ru-ah), play Irish Traditional Music from the heart. A rich sound, acoustic driven, this is traditional Celtic fare at its finest, mixing rousing jigs, reels and polkas with tender ballads and airs. Theirs is a music driven by uillean pipes, fiddle, whistles and the exciting banjo and mandolin playing of group founder Brian Connolly with passionate vocals from Jim Rainey.

Starting this year, the University of Kent is hosting WORLD FEST, celebrating our international community and ethos. The Gulbenkian will join forces with UoK's International Office, European Office and the Students’ Union to present a variety of projects with a global perspective.
