Community Vox presents…
The Surrey Youth Folk Orchestra
Fancy a FREE six-week course in playing English folk
music? If you are
between 12 and 16 years old, play a musical instrument
and have a good
musical ear this is a great opportunity for you to
learn funked-up folk
tunes from professional folk musicians and eventually
play for dancers.
Join us at the Guildford Institute on Saturday mornings
in February and
March to learn energetic folk tunes with exciting
grooves and adventurous
arrangements. At the end of the course the Surrey Youth
Folk Orchestra will
play the first half of a public ceilidh, which will be
finished off by
famous English ceilidh band, Toothless Mary.
To be part of the Surrey Youth Folk Orchestra you will
need to download a
parents to sign it and post it back to us.
