NOISE LIMITERS - Urgent
Petition
It has been brought to our attention that new noise
ligislation is about to be introduced, that is likely to dramatically
impact live music in the UK. Noise limiters have been around for many
years. In all cases except acoustic music this has resulted in the
cessation or severe restriction of live music.
As an example -
The sound pressure at a Royal Philharmonic
Orchestra concert can be more than some rock bands and is enough to turn
the electricity off. How are their electronic devices going to cope. By
cheating like everyone else? The regulation of these limiters will come
under the control of local councils who are stretched enough trying to
manage the governments draconian laws brought into place to destroy the
pub and leisure industry.
Enough is enough.
Please sign the petition!
The
government wish to consider it a legal requirement in the new tax year to
introduce laws insisting anyone applying or re-applying for an
entertainment license must have a noise control device fitted to the
venue. This will be the final NAIL for ALL entertainment in the UK as the
level at which these devices CUT you off is dreadfully low and damaging to
musicians equipment.
PLEASE DO NOT INTRODUCE THIS LAW, WE LOVE
LIVE MUSIC!

Red Admiral Records David Hay CD
EP Rumour Blues Rock / R&B Red Admiral
Records - REDAD CDE560 9th January 2009 Davids first pro. gigs were on American bases in
Germany in 1974 - 1978 where he became resident until 1980 when he
joined the band backing a German Country and Western star (Gunther
Gabriel). David returned to England in 1983 and joined top function
band (The Dark Blues) playing upmarket parties, balls and galas. The
highlight of this period was Princes Charles' 40th birthday party at
Buckingham Palace. Phil Collins played during the break!. In 1996
his first UK album Wintersun featured his own songs. In 1997 David
formed party band called The Executives, playing great events
including a multimillionaire's wedding at the Hotel de Paris on
Casino Square in Monaco. 1990 saw the creation of small blues unit
called Duck Soup fronted by David and Nigel Bagge. The band has had
various bassists and drummers but Nigel and David are the core
Musicians. David has recorded and played with some big names in
R&B jazz and blues: Graham Walker (drums, Gary Moore ); Derek
Nash (tenor and alto, Jools Holland Band); Gary Sanctuary (too many
to name) Gary Plumley (tenor sax, Swing out Sister, Snowboy).
Winston Rollin (trombone) and Jon Scott (trumpet) who also play with
Jools Holland. James Walbourne (lap stee) plays with Bap Kennedy.
Nigel Bagge and David perform regularlyin small pubs and clubs as
Duck Soup. David and Derek Nash also work together in their function

Mick Morris
CD Album:
Reflections Guitar Instrumental - diverse
genres Red Admiral Records - REDAD CDA559 9th January 2009 As an accompanist or band member, Mick has worked with
artists as diverse as Roy Castle and Eric Clapton and as a sideman
with luminaries from the jazz world including Tony Coe, Pat Halcox
and Joe Harriot. In the early 60's he was lead guitarist with the
original Dover-based Rolling Stones and was later a founder member
of cult progressive rock outfit Mirkwood. Somewhat surprisingly
then, Reflections is Mick's first solo
album.
For Mick however, it has always been his passion
for the instrument and the composition, rather than for any
particular field of music, that mattered most and the diversity of
musical styles found on his Reflections album certainly shows his
reluctance to be pigeon-holed into any of the usual rock, country,
jazz, folk etc. genres.
