Hello Everyone,

Well, what can I say about the last gig performed by The Coalhouse Walker Blues Band, together with Coalhouse Dancers. Altogether a fantastic show performed by a brilliant band with relentless delivery of blues, blues and more blues in the jump and boogie woogie style. The accolades have been pouring in together with requests for a return. That say's it all really, other than to congratulate the young dancers for what was their first Coalhouse performance in front of an audience, being a totally new team and I thought in particular the choreography, being their own, was very innovative and gave real extra dimension to the two or three numbers that they performed on. Well done!

No December gig, however, something rather special secured for January 27 in the form of the Guy Tortora Band. Obviously, I had seen the name about on the circuit for some years and aware that Guy had played the Bottleneck previously. However, it was the whisperings going around about the latest album "Living on Credit" that really pricked my ears up. Some of these whisperings were suggesting that this was among the best blues albums of the year and prompted me to take a listen. Having done so, I can confirm that this is indeed a beautifully crafted, world-class album and a mouth watering prospect to have it delivered live to our ears in the intimate confines of the Roffen Suite.

Definitely not to be missed then and bookings to me by email to the return address, sooner rather than later please!

Look forward then to seeing you on Tuesday January 27th 2009 at the Roffen Suite, Roffen Club, Rochester, for the Guy Tortora Band.

Have a great Christmas and New Year!
