Sorry this mail-out has been a bit delayed, principally
due to disruption to my email facilities following a move.
Thanks to those who came to the Groove Doctor's
gig where we were treated to a mix of the original and the very original. Ground
breaking stuff from them as predicted and I have had some great feedback
following this gig, so some souls stirred there then!
This month, I have another first for the club in the form
of the award winning Boogie Woogie and Chicago purveyors, The Coalhouse
Walker Blues Band. Originally sporting Ian Jennings as bass player (who you
saw playing alongside Lisa Mills) they now have on bass a former musical
associate of mine in the Bishops Stortford Blues Club house band. The entire

Winners of the Festival Blues Band of the Year Award they
sometimes come with their own small band of professional dancers, The
Coalhouse Dancers and on this particular occasion, at our club, they are
with them - (where are we going to put them - should be interesting!!).
So the ideal mix of great music and entertainment,
perfect for the lead up to the Christmas festivities on Tuesday 25th November at
the Roffen Suite, Roffen Club, New Road, Rochester.
