The Horsham Folk Club programme is at www.horshamfolkclub.co.uk but here is an extract for the next two weeks:

Sunday 7th December         Landermason folk/jazz duo

Fiona Lander and Paul Mason are a duo brimming with musical talent. They are coming down from Northumberland to play in Horsham for the first time and perform at Horsham Folk Club this Sunday. They play traditional, contemporary and original songs. Their brilliant and exhilarating playing and singing is influenced by jazz and other styles. Fiona sings superbly and plays piano, whistles, saxophones, clarinet, and recorder.

Paul sings and is an impressive guitar player. His first teacher was Dave Stewart of Eurythmics fame. Paul played guitar with a number of rock outfits in the North East before joining The Dumb Blondes and going on a national tour. An accident with a circular saw! put him out of action as a musician. His recovery as a guitarist was painful and slow, but he is back now in great form.

Landermason's fourth and latest CD, The Reason is a 14 track folk/jazz album of original songs and tunes which has received airplay on a number of radio programmes and received many very warm reviews. It can be sampled at www.landermason.com

Admission £6 (£4 for members; Under 18 free).

Sunday 14th December      Pig's Ear

Pig's Ear are a rollicking good, no-holds-barred family folk group - musically gifted and uninhibited. The Rule Family are Sue and Grant Rule and their eldest daughter, Lyndsey, along with uncle "bad influence", Keith.

Pig's Ear are well known throughout the South East of England through countless performances and their five albums. They sing contemporary folk songs and material from the traditions of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland... and anything that takes their fancy. They are not interested in attempts to pigeon-hole music into artificial 'genres'. They just know what they like and sing it, knowing that their audiences will love it too. They play and sing for the love of it. Beautiful, thoughtful or absurd - they do it all - unaccompanied, or in command of their army of instruments.www.pigs-sty.com

Admission is £6 (£4 for members; Under 18 free)
