led by Mel Stevens, with Richard, Pete and Keith

By popular request! we are running an afternoon dance workshop,

from 2pm - 5.15ish

The dances will be taught by Lizi, Jan & Mel will play the music

This time it's

Building on Bourrées

(3 time, mainly in squares and other figures, including some Auvergne and Morvan dances )

A teabreak, then a mix of things - Basque, Breton, branles and other regional dances - request have been sent for the Carnaval de Lanz, Maraîchine, and some little Italian numbers

To help us plan the day, please book in advance, emailing us by Friday evening 24th October,

Costs: workshop £7, Bal £6, joint ticket £12 (pay when you get here).

I know this is a little 'out of area' but as you allowed me to join SEFAN ....

FOLK AT THE PUMP HOUSE

The long redundant folk club in Watford has been re-opened. The opening night of 'Folk at The Pump House' was last Friday and was a great success. On Friday 5th December, 'Folk at The Pump House', in conjunction with www.randomband-agency.com , presents FAUSTUS in concert - Paul Sartin, Benji Kirkpatrick and Saul Rose are three of England's finest traditional musicians - together they create a rare and precious musical atmosphere, both joyful and moving in equal measure, a band with genuine chemistry!

The evenings run from 8 til late on Fridays in the Colne River Room at The Pump House, Local Board Road, Watford, WD17 2JP. A warm welcome and a well-stocked bar await!
