                      | Taken from Ruth Notman's highly acclaimed album
Threads, the Richard Thompson classic Farewell Farewell
famously sung by Sandy Denny, has just gone up on Ruth's
myspace.  When the album came out
Rock'n'Reel magazine said... "She gets so close to Sandy Denny's
perfection that it is difficult to discern the
                        gap"

October 2008 was the Semi Final Weekend of the BBC Radio
2 Young Folk Award. This was our third year of running
this residential weekend and we all had a great
time.  The standard of the Semi Final concert was
unbelievably high and the judges had a harder time than
ever deciding on the 6 finalists... ...but they did and here you can
read all about them and tickets for the
Final are free!  Find out more and book

essence of what makes Towersey so special the aptly
titled article "The Real Village" has been
                        brilliantly crafted by Sarah Coxson
and as well as being a huge "big up"
for the Festival it is simply a great read that
transports you to a magical place.
