Celtic and other Sessions in Kent

If you have been looking for the Wednesday Celtic session that was at the George Inn, Stone St. for a long time : the session is now back in the Anchor Inn in Wingham, after a short while at the Olde Beverlie in Canterbury.

However there are also now sessions in a number of pubs on different days of the week. New musicians are very welcome. If you would like to know what tunes are played at the different sessions, so you can practice, there is a growing amount of information at : www.kentfolk.com/sessiontunes/.

A most important session is an excellent French/European/Breton Session, that has some very traditional instruments, including pipes, "reed-capped shawm", and hurdy-gurdy, all in an excellent pub with good beer.
