Subject: Lewes Arms Folk Club in September

Dear Everyone,

The Lewes Arms has just been sold to Fullers with the minimum of public announcement. The couple running it were formerly at the Basketmakers in Brighton, a good local sort of pub, and took over on Wednesday 27th. August. Harveys is still on sale and the outlook is encouraging. There can't be anyone in the licensed trade unaware of the history (see http://lewesarms.blogspot.com/ for some entertaining reading) but you can rest assured that the hop-based life-forms of the front bar are watching developments closely.
