Thanks for the flood of bookings for the autumn/winter gigs, you should be getting your tickets in the next day or two. All the concerts are proving very popular so donít delay if you are yet to reserve your seats. Having said that I will be out of the office next week for a few days so forgive me If I donít reply straight away.
The website is now up to date with full info about the Autumn programme so if youíre a new subscriber check out the Diary page for some fantastic concerts coming up.
Donít forget for the Show of Hands concert In Folkestone youíll need to reserve seats with the Theatre directly on 01303 223925, this is now two thirds sold already, so give Tony a ring if you want to see the guys in this interesting new venue, full of atmosphere and gothic arches!
There is now an excellent Martin Simpson & Andy Cutting review on the website, superbly recalled by Phil Sugden, thanks Phil. Scroll down to the bottom of the reviews page to find it. Talking of the website ( ) Donít forget the guestbook, I was hoping it could become a well used resource by folkies wanting to exchange thoughts and information about gigs and this music in general. Ideal for car sharing enquiries or re-selling unrequired tickets etc, anything (within reason and decency) really, up to you, itís there to be used.
Those in the north of the region might be interested to know that they can see Show of Hands at Thameside Theatre, Grays, Essex, RM17 5DX on Thursday 25th September Box office - 0845 300 5264. I think its a first visit to this theatre for the guys so if you know anyone that lives up that way that would be interested, please pass it on.
Thursday 4th September sees the next concert at the new Whitstable Folk Club when young Benji Kirkpatrick will be giving a rare solo performance. Benji, son of John is in huge demand and almost constant work as part of Bellowhead and Faustus. He has toured as a duo with his mate Seth Lakeman and with the Oysterband amongst many others.
He is fantastic, what can I say, they beat me to him!

The next Fibbers is 8th Sept, email me for details if you donít know them already.
Enjoy Shrewsbury if youíre going, I was but am not now so very envious, its a great line-up again.
Bye for now
