Many thanks to Michael and Trevor Curry, whose combined skills have made this link possible. The Suffolk rules are distinctly different from ours and the music is nothing like as good.

See you at the Lewes Arms this Sunday at 3.00 pm. A match takes about two hours .......

Dear Everyone,

On Sunday 17th. August at 3.00 p.m. the Lewes Arms international dwyle-flunking team, will be playing at home against their traditional opponents, the Lewes Operatic Society. If you get to Lewes early you could watch the start of the annual raft race (http://www.free-events.co.uk/lewesraft/lewesraft.html) as well; it starts from the rowing club in South Street at 12.50.

As usual, musicians are welcome and will be bribed with free beer by both teams, who can increase their scores by doing so. It's a bit like playing for musical chairs. A fine collection of pictures from the last home match can be seen at http://rozsouth.zenfolio.com/p185248663/.

The match will be held at the Lewes Arms, Mount Place, Lewes, East Sussex BN7 1YH UK. Kit inspection begins at 3.00 p.m. and a game usually lasts a couple of hours.
By the way, Dave Earl is leading the Lewes Arms folk club singaround the night before.
Tootle pip,
Valmai
