Maynooth
Guitar Orchestra
Playing music from Haydn to Jimi Hendrix to new works by Martin
O'Leary and Victor Lazzarini, the Maynooth Guitar Orchestra begin their Irish
tour this week at Galway Cathedral. The tour will also visit Ennis, Cork,
Castlebar, Naas and culminates at National Concert Hall, Dublin on 13
August.

Gathering
The second
Irish Green Gathering takes place at Woodbrook House, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford
on 8–10 August. Featuring performances from Cora Venus Lunny, Jinx Lennon,
Engine Room Orchestra and many other Irish artists, the festival aspires to
present a sustainable, carbon neutral music festival. Tickets are from €25.
