3) Deadline extended for Irish Composition Summer School
The Irish Composition Summer School runs 21 July to 1 August at NUI Maynooth. Ensemble in residence this year are the Dublin Guitar Quartet and featured tutors include Jo Kondo, Martin O'Leary, Kevin O'Connell, Linda Buckley and Ian Brabazon. The deadline for applications to Music Network's Young Musicwide scheme is Friday, 13 June. The scheme will support young traditional music groups with performance opportunities and the production of a CD. Visit www.musicnetwork.ie
4) DEAF CD
The Dublin Electronic Arts Festival are looking for submissions for their 2008 festival CD, which will be launched in September. The disc, intended to showcase new electronic music from Ireland, will be inserted into the festival programme and distributed free at DEAF 2008 events, which will run 22–27 October.
