3) Wavelengths
Wavelengths, a conference on Irish and American music, which will take place in UCD on 4-7 September, invites proposals. The conference will look at 'the back-and-forwards movement of musical traditions between Ireland and the United States' and will attempt to 'identify newer currents and fusions in transatlantic music'. 4) Call for Submissions for New Music Podcast
Dublin composer Aengus Ó Maoláin is launching a new podcast. Taking its name from a text by John Cage, 'I have Nothing to Say and I am Saying it' will focus on 'the composers and performers at the cutting edge of Ireland's immediate musical future'. The first show will go out on Sunday, 1 June. Submissions should be sent to aengus_at_aengusmusic_dot_com
