Hello Everyone,

Firstly may I thank you for the incredible support that the club has been receiving recently.

It was to a packed house that the Spikedrivers delivered their highly musical and original set, receiving tumultuous appeals for "more", deservedly so of course and cementing their place among the all-time club favourites.  I'm already getting requests for a return!  Thanks so much to Ben, Constance and Maurice.....................

Now, two questions!  Do you like your blues Stormin', of the Chicago style? (1) and do you like it performed to the very highest calibre? (2).  If the answer to these questions is "YES", then I have a no-miss gig for you on the 25th March at the Roffen Suite with Big Pete and the Backbones.  Here's what they say.......................

"The Backbones are a young (for the blues!) and dynamic band featuring some of Holland’s strongest Blues musicians. This four piece produce Chicago-style blues of the highest order.
They are well known as the backing band of choice for many visiting US artists, including Mitch Kashmar, Hook Herrera and Monster Mike Welch, but arguably they are at their best when led by vocalist/harp player “Big Pete” Van Der Pluym.
Big Pete’s harmonica playing is featured on the latest albums by Matt Schofield and Ian Siegal. Big Pete and The Backbones made a guest appearance with Schofield at The 100 Club last year and made a big impression on their first UK audience.
Currently recording an album of his own songs for release later in the year, Big Pete and the band visit the UK in March ’08 to play at the Burnley National Blues Festival and several clubs around the country."

Check them out on www.thebackbones.com.

Please let me have your bookings by email ASAP and I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 25th March.

All the best and thanks again!
