The Burgess Hill Festival kicks off in June 2008 and Snowdrop Music has lined up WATERSON CARTHY to perform on Sunday 8th June at the Martlets Hall. Waterson Carthy need little introduction and with a line up of Martin Carthy, Norma Waterson, Eliza Carthy and Saul Rose you have a folk pedigree that goes back 40 years. They will be supported on the night by three up and coming singer/songwriters inGareth Davies-Jones, Julie Hall and Rob Halligan each of whom bring a refreshing originality and clarity in their music and lyrics.
The Burgess Hill Festival stages events such as these to provide not just entertainment but also to raise money for charities. Snowdrop Music is a supporter of the Freetrade Foundation and Stop The Traffik. Both of these organisations exist to give people a better chance in life, either through paying a fair price for their produce or by campagning to end modern slavery.
