Good News!!.....& some bad!
Importance: High
First the good news....Well folks......The
Bottleneck Blues Club continues! I have managed to agree a deal
with Richard Dobney who is very keen to see the club
survive. Richard is a musician & promoter from Essex, he already runs
a few gigs & jam sessions in Essex & wants to expand. I have
agreed to help with the first few gigs & I'm delighted to announce that on
.....
Tues 25th Sept _at_ The Roffen,
Rochester
The Ian Siegal
Band
will perform.
Doors 8:00pm
Now the
bad news.....I'll be there!!.....Yes I've agreed to introduce Richard to you all
& also help with the set-up so you'll all be at the tables you've grown so
fond of. Please support your club (& Richard in particular) during
this important period....we have some fine artists lined up for the autumn
season. Those that have "permanent" bookings would you please let me
know that you want to continue with these. Please email me your
table/seating requirements as usual for this gig.....in a few weeks time I shall
hand the website over to Richard whose email address will be richard_at_bottleneckblues_dot_com
at which time my email address will cease to work but I can be contacted in due
course on john_at_jetlinexec_dot_co_dot_uk this will be
active within a month. So...The Bottleneck lives
on!
A brief word about Ian....he has a new
CD due for release shortly & this gig is part of the launch. In mine
& many pundits opinions Ian is probable our finest pure
blues performer.....he has a dangerous edge on stage & plays some of the
most passionate music you're ever likely to hear. I for one can't
wait. My thanks to Richard Pavitt of Nugene Records for helping to make
all this happen.
John.
