We are pleased to offer this wonderful opportunity for singing and fiddle tuition, places are still available.

‘Song Surgery’ Day

A day of workshops for harmony and solo Singers and Fiddle players with tutors Shirley Collins MBE, Sarah Morgan, Carolyn Robson, Matt Norman and Miranda Rutter.

Wells Cathedral School Sunday 15th July 10am -4.30pm

Wells Cathedral School is the venue for a unique day of workshops offering everyone the chance to explore their skills in harmony singing, solo singing and fiddle playing. With a strong influence on the traditional music of the British Isles, participants will be learning how to invent as well as sing in Harmony, develop their vocal technique and song delivery or have master classes in the fiddle.

Solo song tutor Shirley Collins MBE is a living legend in the study of folk songs of the English speaking world having travelled the UK and USA in the 1950’s with musicologist Alan Lomax collecting seminal recordings  from prison chain gangs and the great blues men. She will be offering a rare opportunity for one to one sessions to help discover and release your inner voice. There are also one to one sessions available with Master voice coach Carolyn Robson and fiddle teacher Miranda Rutter.

Places are strictly limited and operate on a first come first serve basis so please book early . The day costs £15 and 1-2-1 sessions are an additional £15.
