The Frank Harte Festival wiil take place over the weekend of the 21/22/23 September 2007. The format wiil be very similar to last year with the official opening and a singing session on Friday, two singing workshops, one for younger people and one for older people on Saturday morning, two presentations/illustrated talks on Saturday afternoon followed by some singing sessions, the Frank Harte Memorial Concert on Saturday night and finishing with singing sessions on Sunday afternoon/evening. The venues will be the same as last year, Maye's Bar on Friday, Club Na Muinteoiri Nasuinta (The Teachers Club) on Saturday (we have reserved the entire building!)and back to Maye's on Sunday. We will not be booking accomodation, but there are several hotels and guesthouses in close proximity, Jury's Inn, Parnell St., Comfort Inn, Parnell Sq., Cassidy's Hotel, Cavendish Row, Waltons Hotel, Nth Frederick St. Castle Hotel Great Denmark St, etc. Hoping a lot of you can make it for what promises to be a great weekends singing to remember one of the heroes of traditional singing not just here in Ireland but worldwide.
