Subject: Matt Seattle: harmony/arrangement/Northern tunes workshop

Dear Everyone,

Matt Seattle, Border piper and music publisher, is doing two all-day workshops at the Lewes Arms on Saturday 30th. June and Sunday 1st. July. He performs at the Lewes Arms on the Saturday evening.

This is the first workshop, for all instruments, on Northern tunes, harmony and arrangement.

(The row about Greene King removing Harveys Best Bitter from the Lewes Arms  reached Radio 4's 'You and Yours' programme last Thursday. Here's a link; the item is about half-way through so you may want to use the slider to go straight to it:

Following the article in the Guardian a couple of weeks ago and subsequent coverage in the Financial Times, Observer, Guardian (again) Evening Standard, Argus and Sussex Express the director responsible for that part of the company's operations is moving on, the company is undergoing some internal restructuring, and a review of the battle is being prepared for the incoming director. Meanwhile the fight continues. A fund-raising music night last Saturday was crammed to the point of pain.)
