Dear Friends-

Thanks yet again for supporting efolkMusic in 2006. We continue to grow and are arguably the premier folk music support organization on the web- we average almost a million page views each month from around 7,000 visitors every day, folks who know the good music when they hear it!

We have some lofty goals for 2007:

• Workshop listings: We intend to develop a database of educational opportunities for fans and players, providing an interactive list of workshops, seminars and camps.
  
• Folk Radio Show listings: We have a great list of over 400 shows, but this year we want to make it interactive, to allow DJs to add their shows and update information, as we do in our popular folk festival area.
• MailScanner has detected a possible fraud attempt from "ent.groundspring.org" claiming to be WEFM.NET: This is the working address for our proposed 24-7 web-based folk radio station.  An ambitious project, we intend to create a station with live DJs around the globe. New technologies make it possible for broadcasts to originate wherever broadband is available, so we envision a “virtual” station passing on the music from far-flung locations to your computer.
• The Tuneshop: We received partial funding for expansion of the Tuneshop in 2006, and with your help we can make this area even more valuable in 2007.
• More music, CDs, MP3s and the new Digital Albums, and a more detailed database: As we grow our music catalog, we want to add information about each song and artist to help you find what you want- say you are looking for songs with fiddle and dulcimer, or solo guitar music- we want the database to contain as much detail about the music as we can.
