RUBUS _at_ THE MUSIC INSTITUTE, GUILDFORD
We are delighted to welcome the trio Rubus to the Guildford Institute, Ward Street, Guildford on Friday 26th January for their first appearance in the South East.
Rubus are singer Emily Portman (of The Devil's Interval), Christina Andropolis (fiddle, viola and vocals) and David Newey (guitar) performing a repertoire of mainly traditional song.

THE JELLY ROARS BACK TO GUILDFORD
Those of you with long memories will have extremely happy ones of the trio Roaring Jelly who brought mirth, mayhem and music to the folk scene on the '70's and '80's ("pioneers of alternative comedy before the term became fashionable" The Guiness Who's Who of Folk ). Well two thirds of them, Derek Pearce and Clive Harvey are back, this time in the company of bass player Da'aboth Te'He'Ling (sic), to perform some old favourites and new material in the Roaring Jelly mould.

MIGHTY RIVER OF SONG _at_ THE ALBERT HALL
The extended Waterson:Carthy family will be presenting a very special concert in the company of their many friends at The Royal Albert Hall on Saturday 12th May. The concert will include the relaunch of Brass Monkey.
Electric Voices has booked a coach to leave Guildford at 2.30pm on 12th May to take people to and from the concert. The cost will be £40 including a ticket to the concert (centre of the arena seating area, 15-17 rows back).
