OK folks........just a quickie as I'm just about to leave for Turkey, after I've unloaded all the PA equipment from last night's gig that is & what a gig!!  Thanks to you all for making it such a success....there's no doubt Ian Siegal has that something extra.....superb voice, wonderful playing, great band & of course a real showman.  It would make my life so much easier to book him ever month but I sense I might start to get a few complaints.  So.....Friday 13th at Zaffa (or Mu Mu if you prefer).......I have yet another astonishing but quite different night for you all.
The Bottleneck Blues Club
presents
The Matt Schofield Trio
+
Rag Mama Rag
Doors 8:00pm 'til late
Matt, as Ian Siegal said last night, is arguably the finest guitarist in Europe.....well he's certainly ONE of the finest guitarists in Europe & his repertoire, fluidity & just plain virtuosity is wonderful to watch.  His band members are also amongst the best of the bunch with Evan Jenkins on Bass & Johnny Henderson doing the keyboard wizardry.  This is World Class Jazz/Blues, if you must give it a label ~ in my book it's just damn fine music.
Rag Mama Rag many of you will know.....an outstanding duo (Ashley & Debbie) to give you the Country Blues bits of the night.  How does she do that spoons thing?
So, something for everyone....two completely different yet complimentary acts of the highest order.
Check 'em out......  www.mattschofield.com  www.ragmamarag.co.uk
See you on the 13th............
John
Remember, you don't have to dine to book a table but the Italian food is excellent if you want a proper grown-up's night out!
