Dear All,

SEFAN is now a member of the South East "Regional Infrastructure Organisations" Group

(RIO Group).

This provides us (you) with an extra conduit to influence development strategy in the region and

to receive information on proposed developments during planning.

The RIO Group are in the process of creating a development plan which deals

primarily with infrastructure issues, filling in gaps in provision and avoiding duplication.

There are only two arts based organisations in the RIO group so far, and they are SEFAN

and Making Music  (SE). It will be quite a while before this initiative has any impact

on your activities, but it is important that we are involved in shaping future region wide

submissions to central government and for our members to be able to cite RIO objectives in

support of their own grant applications.

We have copies of the draft plan available.
