DATE FOR YOUR DIARY DON’T MISS OUT!
Broadstairs Folk Week’s annual out-of festival ceilidh will take place this year on Saturday 28th October when the popular AARDVARK ceilidh band hit the Pavilion on the Sands in Broadstairs.
The band creates a truly feel-good experience for all standards of dancers and has a great following in East Kent. Their rousing folk-rock is great for dancing or listening to and you can expect a selection of English dances with a sprinkling of French, American and self-penned dances, with tunes from all over the place.
Leading the band, and calling the dances, is Pete Grassby on melodeons, with Pete Laity on lead guitar, Martin Trewinnard on bass and flute and Colin Halliwell on drums. These four are highly experienced musicians, who justify Aardvark’s reputation as a super-group on the dance circuit. Bring your dancing feet with you and expect to have a wonderful time.
The ceilidh starts at 8.30pm and tickets cost £7 in advance from Broadstairs Folk Week Office, Pierremont Hall, Broadstairs 01843 604080, or £8 on the door.
