Subject: To all FITB ColvinQuarmby fans

Just a reminder that ColvinQuarmby will be coming to play at Deal Festival on Saturday afternoon. If you're new to this list and you've not seen them before I can only urge you to come and be completely entertained. See the quotes on their MySpace page to give you some idea of other peoples opinions. Some of you may remember Gerry Colvin from his 80s CowPunkSkiffle duo Terry & Gerry. Its a much more mellow sound than back in the days of 'From Lubbock to Clintwood East' his Indie chart topping album, but he is no less charismatic and full of joy and energy than back then.
Its a beautiful venue, St Georges Church and they're following on from a wedding apparently! I wonder if Gerry knows any hymns? I know he's written some Carols in his time. Actually I believe at least one member of the Band used to be a choir boy, can you guess who it was? Here's a clue - from church choir to the Rocky Horror Show! That's quite a step!!!!
The gig starts at 3.30pm so bring the whole family and have
a fun afternoon out. Tickets are a mere £5.50, its not often you'll get such quality entertainment for so little. There's a huge car park almost next door and many other musical things going on in and around the town.
The gig has been billed as an Acoustic gig. There has been some confusion over this. There will still be the usual full PA and you will get the full CQ Experience! Some of the songs have been slightly re-arranged which adds a whole new dimension to the show. Dave now does an beautiful spanish guitar accompaniment on South American Dream which just feels so right for that sultry latin rhythm and melody.
Hope to see you there...

Listen out for the Band on the Pat Marsh Show tomorrow
(Friday) around ten to 11 for discussion and music and maybe a bit about Folk in the Barn also.
cheers for now
